Logo Competition
College Connect and the Whidden Workshop; It’s Kushti to Rokker (WWKR) are excited to launch our first creative competition!
Explainer – in case you haven’t heard about WWKR before: WWKR are information sessions for Traveller and Roma people who are in, or want to get into higher and further education courses, that are led by Traveller and Roma students. The workshops are a safe space to talk about getting into and getting the most out of college. Students explore the supports available and the many pathways to further and higher education.
As part of this work, we are running a creative competition to inform the design of a logo for Whidden Workshop; It’s Kushti to Rokker!
Entries are especially invited from Traveller and Roma people and we are also accepting group or collective submissions in the spirit of collaboration and solidarity.
This is a creative inspiration competition, so entries can be submitted in a number of creative mediums – from drawings, sketches, graphic design or paintings, to poems, spoken word, videos or photos of items that symbolise Traveller and/or Roma communities and culture.
Note: Video entries of 2-minute max 😊
Through this competition, we hope to promote and build:
- Connections
- New relationships
- Awareness
- Ownership
And we hope you will join us on this journey by sharing your creative inspirations with us.
We will have more details about our judges and the selection process coming soon. Watch this space!
Contact collegeconnect@mu.ie with any questions you may have.
Deadline for submissions is 28 February 2022.
P.S. You do not need to register to enter.
